Bastion Inspired Sword Concept Art

This is my personal fan concept art project creating a sword inspired by Bastion - Shadowlands from the World of Warcraft universe.
I first came up with 10 different rough sketches to figure out the best silhouette. Then I worked on shades, focusing on the light's direction to bring the values together. I've also experimented with several variations to come up with the best result. Designwise, I started off from the 3 keywords that represent Bastion. A straight golden blade and a wing-shaped handle with gems represent Justice, Honor, and Pride. Overall, I wanted to keep the general look simple but powerful at the same time.
